RONNIE MCDONALD, WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT THIS?

Croatia – Staff at a McDonald’s in Croatia allegedly carried on selling burgers despite the fact a customer had dropped dead in front of the counter. After efforts to revive her failed, the woman was instead propped up in the corner of the restaurant and had a napkin placed over her head as workers continued to serve other customers, it has been claimed. The woman, thought to have died of a suspected heart attack, had complained of feeling unwell just moments after going inside the fast food restaurant in the southern town of Sibenik. She collapsed at the counter and, despite emergency services being called, doctors were unable to revive the Bosnian woman, who lived in Denmark but had been visiting the area.

NO THANK YOU, I WILL USE THE NEXT DRINKING FOUNTAIN

Portland, Oregon – A 40-year old man, who was arrested in Portland, Ore. for allegedly washing his genitals in a park drinking fountain while kids played close by, said he was just trying to take a quick bath, according to KGW.com. Jamie Todd Henseler tried to talk to kids and throw a water balloon at them in Couch Park, a witness told Portland police. He then began to undress, according to a police bureau spokesman St. Pete Simpson and started washing his genitals. “He was bathing in the drinking fountain and had his pants down around his ankles and he was totally exposing himself,” witness Michale Koopman told KGW.com “Once I saw that I asked the teacher to bring the kids inside.” Hensler was apprehended and booked into the Multnomah County Jail according to The Oregonian, which first reported the story. He was charged with misuse of a drinking fountain, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct, The Oregonian reported. He was also banned from the park.

Boy With Cerebral Palsy, Kicked Out Of The Pool For Wearing Floaties

A mom and her son with cerebral palsy had to leave a pool in Pittsburgh because he was wearing water wings. The incident is disturbing on many levels -- it ruined a kid's fun, it gave his mom grief, and it once again makes me worry about the blinders people have on when it comes to kids with special needs. The story, as recounted on wpxi.com: Jen Wymer, her daughter and her son, Max, were at a public pool in North Park on Monday. Both kids had water wings on. When lifeguards told her the wings were against the pool rules, she took them off her daughter but asked to keep them on for Max. As Wymer tells it, "I went up to the lifeguard and said, 'My son has cerebral palsy. He doesn't walk well and has poor balance. Could he keep the floaties on?'" But she was told, says Wymer, "Rules are rules."

BABY PICTURES

Airport security in the United Arab Emirates have spotted a five-month-old baby in luggage during an x-ray scan. Airline authorities are investigating the parents who tried to sneak their baby into the Gulf country by hiding him in their carry-on baggage. Newspaper reports say authorities discovered the baby at Sharjah airport when it showed up on an X-ray scan. Carry-on luggage is typically scanned at Emirati airports on arrival, after passengers have their passports stamped.
Gulf News reports the husband and wife arrived at the airport on Friday night but were held at immigration because they did not have a visa for the newborn. Officials allowed them to stay until the relevant office re-opened, but in their desperation the couple decided to make a run for it when the staff shift changed, the Daily Mail reports. The couple put the baby the baby into a bag but security staff spotted the infant on the X-ray machine. "When customs officials saw the baby inside the bag at the X-ray scanner, they were stunned," a police officer said. "This machine is very dangerous for anyone, let alone a baby in a bag to pass through.

GRANDMA'S SPECIAL COOKIES

A 3-year-old Murrieta boy ended up in the hospital after he got into his grandma’s special chocolate chip cookies while no one was looking. Little did he know, the cookies were not for kids. They were laced with a medical marijuana concentrate, police said. The grandmother, who has been diagnosed with cancer, had a doctor’s recommendation for marijuana to treat her pain and to help her sleep, Sgt. Phil Gomez said. Days before, she had baked THC oil into a batch of cookies and tucked them away in a garage refrigerator. THC is the active chemical in marijuana. The boy fell asleep about 5 p.m., Gomez said. The family did not become alarmed until the next morning when the child was still asleep at 9:30 a.m., Gomez said. He was breathing but they couldn’t wake him up.

VAN BUREN, Arkansas – (AP) – A woman accused of leaving the scene of a minor traffic crash in western Arkansas told police she did it because she didn’t want her ice cream to melt.
Van Buren police say one vehicle rear-ended another on Arkansas Highway 59, but that the driver of the second car didn’t stop to check on the vehicle she had hit. The other driver called police and set off in pursuit. Fort Smith television station KHBS reports that Flora Burkhart told police she didn’t think there was enough damage to merit stopping – and that she didn’t want her ice cream to melt.

BEAVER, Pa. (AP) - Sheriff's deputies say a western Pennsylvania county jail inmate wearing an orange-and-white striped uniform tried to hail a taxi to escape from a hospital where he was taken for medical treatment. The Beaver County Times ( ) reports Tuesday that 23-year-old Holden Wooley was taken to Heritage Valley Beaver Hospital on Saturday night after a reported seizure. ANOTHER CRAZY MOM

PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix mother has been arrested after authorities say she put beer in her 2-year-old son's sippy cup. Phoenix police were called to a pizza restaurant Tuesday night after witnesses say they saw 36-year-old Valerie Marie Topete pour beer from a pitcher into her son's cup and then the child drank some of it. Phoenix police say Topete admitted pouring the beer in the cup because the child kept reaching for the beer pitcher. Officers examined the contents of the cup and determined the liquid was consistent with beer. The child was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons and was later released to the care of his father. Topete is being held on suspicion of child abuse. Police didn't know if she has a lawyer.
