ANOTHER CRAZY MOTHER, BETCHA SHE VOTED FOR OBAMA!!

A Charlotte, N.C., mother had her own son arrested earlier this week for allegedly stealing her Pop-Tarts.  Latasha Renee Love, 37, contacted investigators on Monday about the theft, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report.  In the report, the mother tells police that her own son, a juvenile, had stolen the item, local NBC affiliated WCNC reported. The boy was charged with a larceny/misdemeanor and placed under juvenile arrest.  Despite multiple attempts by local media to get a statement from the mother, the woman proved elusive.  According to WCNC, the mother snuck through a backdoor at her residency parking blocks away to avoid media inquiries. The mother's only appearance was when she briefly peeked out of her front door and hurled an obscenity at reporters standing outside her house before quickly slamming it, WCNC reported.  Neighbors expressed mixed reactions to the mother's actions.  "He seems real nice to me. I mean, he is real respectful," said neighbor Fred Patrick who could not stop laughing when asked about the issue.  Another neighbor, Tiffany Covington, was not amused.  "It would be nice if they asked, but they don't," Covington said. "They are kids."

OUR GREAT COUNTRY, USA

USA – Did you know that under the Military Code of Justice the U.S. Army can’t suspend pay for an employee who has been accused of a crime unless he is proven guilty? And it’s the reason why Nidal Hasan, the accused Fort Hood shooter, has been paid more than $270,000 by the U.S. government since the Nov. 5, 2009, mass shooting that left 13 dead and 32 injured, NBC DFW reports. “If Hasan had been a civilian defense department employee,” the report continues, “the Army could have suspended his pay after just seven days.” And if you think it’s outrageous that Hassan has been receiving paychecks while he awaits trial, keep in mind many of the soldiers wounded by his alleged rampage are still fighting to get pay and medical benefits given to those wounded in combat.

PEACOCK SEXUAL ABUSE

A man sexually abused a peacock, which was later found dead in his garage, according to authorities in Illinois. Roselle police report that they discovered the dead bird, named Phyl, and learned about its abuse while investigating an alleged case of indecent solicitation of a child, NBC Chicago reports. David Beckman, 63, of the Chicago suburb, Roselle, faces three charges of harassment by telephone, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of marijuana possession, attempted indecent solicitation of a child, cruelty to animals, and two counts of battery NBC Chicago reports. Both the battery and solicitation of a child charges stem from a case earlier this week in Roselle, which involved a child between the ages of 13 and 17, according to the Daily Herald. Beckman was being held at DuPage County Jail on Friday on $10,000 bond. His arraignment is scheduled for June 12.

WOOF WOOF, I LOVE YOU

A behavioral specialist for Harford County Public Schools has been indicted. According to court records and photographic evidence, a grand jury indicted Stephanie Mikles with “unnatural or perverted sexual practice.” The indictment goes on to state that Mikles had “sexual intercourse with a dog,” according to ABC2 News. The incident happened in August 2008, say police, but in the state of Maryland there is no statute of limitations for these types of charges. The animal reportedly still lives with the family at their residence in the Jarrettsville area. Mikles has been placed on administrative leave without pay while the investigation wears on. Investigators say a separate investigation by the child advocacy center helped them make this stunning discovery. Mikles’ attorney says she’s fighting the charge and has filed motions to have the case dismissed. The educator is currently free on $5,000 bond.
